Kick-off to the year with a soup ladle and sales realism – with power speaker Aaron Brück and a radical reckoning with sales romanticism.Who says nothing happens in January? Right at the start of the year, on 08.01.26, our Marketingclub Krefeld pulverised every cliché once again – with 85 registrations, a full house at the legendary BlaueErdbeere and an evening that put an end to the romantic glorification of selling.
Topic of the evening: “No more sales romance” – with Aaron Brück.
No fuss, no empty phrases. Instead: hard truths about sales. Why the product on its own doesn’t pay the rent, which sales channels actually work and which three mistakes (it feels like) every other start-up makes – Aaron said it like it is. And yes, that went down well.
The man knows what he is talking about: former police officer, father of three, co-founder of Seals Group GmbH – founded right in the middle of the Covid lockdown. Today the company, with around 10 million euros in annual turnover, is not only in good shape economically; it was also named a growth champion by FOCUS Money 2025 – 19th among the 500 fastest-growing companies in Germany, and among the top 1,000 across Europe.
From that experience Aaron has developed his own power strategy for start-ups – including a mental reset for real sales success. His mission: get people keen on change and get them to act – with an inspiring mix of practical tips, science-based strategies and a good dose of humour.
Of course there was something for the stomach too: goulash soup or potato and leek soup – hot, spicy and just as honest as the talk. Networking? Sure! The room was full of entrepreneurs, doers and marketing people who want to get things moving.
