What does branding mean?
What is totally familiar to us in the advertising agency and in signage at first raises a few question marks for our customers. We are talking about the many English terms we use every day. We’ll now shed a little light on this for you and, to start with, explain a few terms in plain language so they’re easy to understand.

• Brand is the word for a brand name
• Brand strategy is the plan for your brand
• Brand identity is what your brand stands for
• Branding is brand-building
• Marketing is the business of selling
• Corporate identity (CI) is the entire identity of the company
• Corporate design (CD) is the visual implementation of the corporate identity
• Corporate branding is the development of the company brand
• Key visual is the key image of the brand
• Wording is the choice of words or the wording rules communicated externally
• A relaunch is a fresh start

Concepts for retail brands and umbrella brands
As a partner for small and large retail brands we stay with you through the whole project. At the PoS we look hard at what your branding concept could look like.

The more a company expands, the more work there is on Property branding and, where it’s needed, on the Multi-site and franchise concepts.

Even when it is about an umbrella-brand strategy, you are in the right place with us. We have already helped various umbrella brands position their brands and products at the PoS.

Ideas around the product launch
If you want to launch a new product, your advertising effort will probably be higher than for a product already established on the market. New products are often promoted on your own website, presented at trade fairs and advertised in the (local) press. If you are looking for a mobile solution to make the product known locally, you can easily wrap your vehicle with the new product. Maybe you are also thinking of giveaways that symbolise your new product in a witty way. Or you consider the advertising options around online marketing and social media.

We have plenty of ideas up our sleeve for how your product launch or product positioning could look.

Branding concept for founders: it starts with the business idea
What looks so simple at first glance is a long road and a lot of hard work. A brand unfortunately doesn't develop overnight, but needs a long time and a well-thought-out concept.

It always starts with your business idea. Your company therefore has a product or a service that you want to establish on the market. A well-planned concept helps you develop, out of many individual pieces, a branding concept for positioning your brand.

If you want to start a company, you’ve probably first done an initial market analysis (are there even people interested in my product) and already thought up a – your – brand name. That is definitely a first step.

And you’re surely aware too that at some point you’ll want to be visible from the outside and will need business cards, can’t do without business stationery, may want to have your vehicle lettered, want to make your company quickly recognisable from the outside with a company sign and, in the digital age, will probably also want to bring a website to life. So far, so good. Now we come into play.

Develop a branding concept – position your brand
Now your brand positioning is called for. There are probably already other companies in your line of business, and now you're wondering which measures you can use to make your advertising stand out. As our advertising specialists also know their way around marketing advice, we first analyse your environment and develop a concept from that. And it could look like this:

First we look at which industry you want to gain a foothold in and what your core target group looks like.

Want to open a hair salon? Then, in addition to your company name, a pair of scissors comes into consideration as the key visual. You want to start a bakery? Then a bread roll would be a suitable key image. This is how we first develop a logo that is as easy to understand as possible, with a picture mark and a wordmark, for your field. Want to know more about logo development? Then have a look at the page logo design – lots more info.

With the logo we have a good foundation, because in future the logo will appear on all your advertising materials. We could list all the products we manufacture here on site in Krefeld at this point, but that would only be a long list, which we want to do without. But of course we can tell you that we have an extensive product range – from the simple floor stickers all the way to the flags, from a twin-wall poster all the way to the advertising stele.

Advertising agency and signage
Besides the Signage manufacturing shop we are, after all, also an advertising agency and thus bring together various areas that will show up in some form in your communication – otherwise your company isn’t visible at all. You don’t believe that? Then you’ll find an example here:

Corporate identity (CI) defines a company’s entire identity. Part of that is the corporate design (CD). This includes, for example, the visualisation of your logo. A logo should only ever be used, both in-house and externally, according to fixed criteria, so that your customers can recognise it always and everywhere. You don’t have a logo at all yet because you’re only just founding the company? If you’re planning a business opening, we’re also happy to help you with creating a logo. Further features of a consistent corporate design are the design of the letterhead and uniform business cards that look the same for all staff.

A corporate design should never simply be changed. If someone in your company, for example, liked the name better in pink in the email signature, they must not simply change it. All the company’s design elements should always look the same and be presented uniformly to the outside.

Ready for the brand relaunch?
If you notice that your brand has gathered dust and is no longer fully noticed by your target audience, it is time for a relaunch. A rebranding can be carried out on a small scale or can mean the complete repositioning of a brand. The relaunch can include redesigning your logo to current design standards, but it can also mean a rebuild of the entire PoS.

If you’re interested in a relaunch on a large or a small scale, we’re happy to be at your side. So that you soon have a new brand identity and can start your brand communication with new ideas.

Your questions... our answers!

We often work with architects and can respond to many individual needs.

We’re happy to offer you a contract for work for this. In this contract we can agree the manufacture and the upkeep with you.

Every company, no matter how big, should develop a branding strategy so that you “walk” in one direction and don’t spread yourself thin. Smaller companies in particular should focus first of all.

We are happy to help you from logo development through to building your website. And of course we are also your contact person when it comes to your outdoor advertising.

We unfortunately can't give you a flat answer, because every project has to be looked at individually. Let's have a call.
