Photo-art auction at the Kö-Galerie Düsseldorf for a good cause
BlaueErdbeere congratulates on the successful auction of 63 publicly shown motifs from the “Open Space Gallery”. In 2023 the Open Space Gallery ran as a culture pop-up exhibition around the construction fence of the Carschhaus.
The idea for the Open Space Gallery Düsseldorf came about under the direction of curator Wolfgang Sohn, who also serves as ambassador of “Düsseldorf setzt ein Zeichen” for the community foundation.
The auctioned photo art motifs were printed by BlaueErdbeere with the super-large-format printer VUTEK h3 on aluminium composite panels in the size 2 x 2 m. Each artwork is distinguished by its high print quality. As part of the auction project, BlaueErdbeere got to carry out the restoration and the individual cutting of the motifs.
The auction was led in person by Düsseldorf’s mayor Josef Hinkel, and the proceeds go to the donation project “Düsseldorf setzt ein Zeichen” of the Bürgerstiftung Düsseldorf.
„Alongside day-to-day business, it is these very special projects that excite us. How great when, with sustainability in mind too, high-quality photo art does not end up in the bin but is still used for a good cause after the project ends. We hope the photo prints give their new owners pleasure for a long time“, stresses Niki Küch, management of BlaueErdbeere Werbetechnik.
