In 2025 too, the Waldkrankenhaus chose to work with BlaueErdbeere to implement another forward-looking digitalisation project. The aim was to register emergency patients in line with data protection and guide them through the hospital in a targeted way.

In the course of a structural reorganisation of the building, a new emergency centre was created in a separate wing. As part of this, the previous static floor information signs were also replaced by three large-format 86-inch displays in the entrance area. These show current overviews of specialist departments and the doctors in charge – and can be updated independently by hospital staff at any time. A major advantage, since responsibilities and routes in hospitals change frequently.

“Waiting times for our patients have become noticeably shorter – that has a direct positive effect on their satisfaction. The medical staff are convinced by the new system too. Acceptance is so high that we plan to equip another hospital with it next year”, adds Frank Eichler, Technical Director of Waldkrankenhaus Bonn.
