Rewe Stenten in the Frankenberger Viertel in Aachen ceremonially opened. BlaueErdbeere supplied striking signage from the outside in and from A to Z. Modern food markets have to hit the current zeitgeist and invite your customers to linger. Monotonous, purely functional off-the-shelf spaces have had their day. The store design of Rewe Stenten is far more than just modern. As a long-standing family business, Rewe Stenten in Aachen places an enormous amount of value on its very own, individual store design. And it was worth it. The new sales floor represents the three-generation family history and the Frankenberger Viertel like no other. BlaueErdbeere had the chance to accompany the new build and implement the fresh store concept true to every detail. What was called for was the entire service and product portfolio of signage, from the construction-site lettering, the application for a building permit, the window film application, the advertising installation and the wayfinding by pendant modules through to the checkout stickers on the floor.
In the redesign of the store floor, improving the shopping experience was clearly the focus. The new store design structures the sales floor into small “range shops” and in that way also optimises orientation itself. Wayfinding is provided by individual letters used as ceiling and wall hangers; these point the way to the little fruit and vegetable shop, the butcher’s, the little cheese shop, the wine shop and the Candyshop, and to many other departments.
Sweet, tasty and chocolatey: the modern script lettering was produced from 10 mm Forex in a special size. The customer journey always starts from the outside in, so BlaueErdbeere also supplied 13 new advertising installations, including new shop-window vinyl, for the new exterior appearance.
Rewe Stenten in Burtscheid and Rewe Stenten Frankenberger Viertel in Aachen is a genuine family business in the third generation. Founded in 1954, the Aachen shopping centre has managed to stay with the times with its fresh and at the same time regional range. With well over 40,000 items, customers also find a large range of organic food.
