HSG Krefeld goes for digital perimeter advertising with a modern LED sports board!

With the aim of marketing sponsorship areas more flexibly, more attractively and more economically, HSG Krefeld has invested in a modern LED sports perimeter board. The digital advertising solution makes it possible for the club to show sponsor messages dynamically, adjust campaigns in real time and offer spectators in the Glockenspitzhalle a professional match-day experience.

Under the motto “Every throw a hit”, HSG Krefeld is thus taking a further step towards digitalisation and professional marketing of its sponsorship areas.

The implementation:

A BE® LED-Wall P6.6 Outdoor Softtouch (SPORT) with a total length of 40.32 metres and a height of 0.96 metres was delivered. The single-sided sports perimeter board has a robust aluminium outdoor housing with a special soft-touch mask and soft padding that offers optimum protection for players and equipment.

Thanks to a pixel pitch of 6.6 mm, a brightness of 6,000 nits and a refresh rate of 7,680 Hz, the system delivers a brilliant, flicker-free picture – both for spectators in the hall and for TV and livestream broadcasts.

The sports perimeter board also impresses with numerous technical advantages such as front-access maintenance, remote monitoring, remote control, calibration functions, temperature and voltage monitoring, and silent, fanless cooling. The specially developed wide-angle mask structure ensures optimum visibility from almost every angle.

Particular attention was paid to safety and durability: a patented soft-touch mask technology, robust PC surfaces with a high level of vandalism protection, and shock-absorbing rubber elements minimise the risk of injury during play.

As well as supplying the system, BE took on instructing and training the club so it can put up, take down and reconfigure the LED sports perimeter board on its own. The training was given by experienced BE technicians, so HSG Krefeld can use the system flexibly and independently.
