Feel-good factor, interior design:
That's well-thought-out CI room branding!
KommIT guides, orients and informs visitors through strongly branded wall vinyl!
The newly implemented interior concept at KommIT shows clearly what well-thought-out graphic design of workspaces can achieve. With 500 m² of wall vinyl, the individual offices of the different departments were colour-coded. This creates orientation and at the same time serves as wayfinding. At the same time, the different graphic elements symbolise the various fields of work in which Komm IT is active. An interior design oriented to the corporate design should express the CI and, ideally, that specialist field’s work as well.
Since plants are known to boost wellbeing, Komm IT has added a 5400x2750mm green jungle wall of artificial plants to its wall film. An LED-lit tension-fabric system gives the digital monitor wall the right frame.
In total, about 500 m² of film were printed and stuck on. A particular challenge was how long the films would last on the different substrates, such as the concrete walls.
When the window films were applied, special printing processes were used. The graduated white print chosen here allows different levels of opacity. Strong colours on both sides were achieved with a triple print (colour / white / colour). Whereas partly white elements with lettering that has to be readable from both sides were produced with a blockout print. With these processes you make sure that the lettering does not show through.

“You design how you work! This quote sums up our intention behind the rebranding of the office spaces wonderfully. As a company, it is our job to design the office spaces so that customers and staff can find their way quickly. The design should represent the fields of work in a likeable way, and not least it is also about a feel-good atmosphere for our staff. Our new office is meant to be a space for meeting and communication, because personal exchange is incredibly important in today’s digital world. In times when working from home is booming, we want to create incentives so people are happy to come into the office; for me that starts with the interior design, runs through a modern office atmosphere and ends with a personal exchange with colleagues over a barista coffee,” emphasises Arved Stiller, marketing project manager at KommIT Gesellschaft für Informationstechnik mbH.
