Rock am Ring: Let the party begin!

When not only engines but also guitar amps are running flat out at the Nürburgring, it's clear: Rock am Ring is at the door.

For many years we have been able to support the Nürburgring on all kinds of projects – from seasonal campaigns and events through to large-format signage projects. In that time we have accompanied numerous events and shown again and again that we keep a cool head even under time pressure.

As a team that openly loves a party, the enquiry for Rock am Ring was a real home game. After all, we like pairing our passion for signage with plenty of festival atmosphere.

In the Laubengasse we first replaced 27 existing lounge signs with new sponsor signage – including professional installation, of course.

Then it got really exciting high up: with the crane we clad the BMW bridge with impressive banners measuring 60 × 3 metres. Exactly our thing – because when it gets big, that’s when we really feel at home.

Visitor guidance got an upgrade too. On another bridge we installed a 39 × 2 metre, double-sided tube-frame system with banners that also served as a guidance system visible from far away. Who says wayfinding has to be boring, after all?

Spontaneous challenges are part of it for us too: an additional banner in the format 6 × 6 metres was produced and installed within just 20 hours. Thanks to well-rehearsed routines and plenty of teamwork, no problem – by the time the festival started, everything was hanging in its place.

The absolute highlight of the project was applying vinyl film to 172 panes of glass on the TÜV Tower. The striking Rock am Ring logo turned the entire glass façade into a statement visible from far away and made the tower a real eye-catcher. Especially in the evening hours, the staging came into its own and underlined the unique festival atmosphere.

Rock am Ring ranks among the best-known and largest rock festivals in Europe. Every year, tens of thousands of music fans make the pilgrimage to the Nürburgring to experience international top acts and unforgettable festival moments. The special atmosphere, the unique setting and the perfect organisation have made Rock am Ring a fixture of the festival world for decades.
