Green, round, soft and mossy: Veiling Rhein-Maas scores with a newly designed entrance hall

Veiling Rhein-Maas GmbH und Co. KG in Straelen-Herongen is Germany's only flower and plant auction.
Anyone who steps into the international marketplace Veiling Rhein-Maas for the first time is deeply impressed.
In the auction hall, with its 8 LED clocks and several hundred customer seats, the place is buzzing. No wonder: 5 million transactions are carried out here every year.

The project:

“Being allowed to take on the redesign of the entrance hall was a great honour for us”, emphasises Patrick Lieberei – operations manager of Werbetechnik GmbH in Krefeld.

“Since everything at Veiling Rhein-Maas revolves around flowers and plants, we wanted to give the company branding a fitting green frame. Natural materials such as wood and moss were used in the redesign.
The logo of individual Profil 3 letters was staged on a natural ball-moss wall almost 8.5 metres long and 2 metres high. Mounted off the wall, the backlit logo together with the pictorial mark becomes the highlight of the entrance hall. The lower section of the wall was given a harmonious rhombus cladding.

A second “Welcome Wall” was also fitted with moss and the branding done in a butter finish,” explains Tanja Johnen, the project lead responsible at Werbetechnik GmbH.

The implementation:

Moss walls are not only a modern, natural form of wall design; they also have the advantage of providing improved sound absorption.
We use only preserved moss, which gets by for several years without further care.
In our signage manufacturing shop we check every single moss ball for quality and condition, and lovingly assemble the wall covering by hand.
