Brand presence as an identity-shaping part of the building façade
What would a company facade be without a representative company logo? Nothing more than a functional building shell without identity. Only with an advertising installation true to the corporate design does the company building get its face. For BRITA, BlaueErdbeere made illuminated tension-fabric advertising installations in XXL format.
Large and bright at night, that is what they were meant to be: the new BRITA brand logos of the market leader in drinking-water optimisation. For the plain building facade in Bad Camberg, BlaueErdbeere supplied two striking tension fabric systems, 3,095 mm wide, 4,560 mm high and 200 mm deep. This gave BRITA’s headquarters its unmistakable brand face. The full illumination of both systems is Dali-controllable. Dali is a digital, programmable lighting interface for electronic ballasts (EVG), developed for lighting control in building installation technology.
To do justice to the unusual design language of the asymmetrical brand logo, the aluminium profile of 100/50/4 mm was welded all the way round. A steel substructure provides a solid facade fixing, which is also essential at a total weight of 450 kg for the aluminium installation including the steel structure.
The company BRITA stands like no other for high-quality water filter solutions. Over 20 billion litres of water run through BRITA products every year. BRITA is a globally active group of companies with 30 national and international subsidiaries or operating sites. BlaueErdbeere was commissioned by the architecture firm Banz+Riecks from Bochum.
